Chrysandra S. Bowen
Chrysandra Bowen believes in putting her clients first. She is passionate about the best interest of her clients and has a reputation as an aggressive advocate on their behalf. As a mother herself, she is keenly aware of how divorce can impact the children and helps clients minimize the impact on children of divorced and separated couples.
Ms. Bowen shows her commitment to children’s issues by volunteering with CASA of Denton County, Denton County Friends of the Family, and the Denton Benefit League. Annually, the Denton County Bar Association holds an Adoption Day to celebrate and recognize families with adopted children, and Ms. Bowen volunteers for this event each year.
Recognition by Texas Super Lawyer as a Rising Star of Family Law in 2015 and 2016 places Ms. Bowen among only 2.5% of Texas’ young lawyers statewide. Ms. Bowen actively participates in the Denton County Bar Association, serving on the Bench Bar Conference Committee. She is also a member of the Dallas Bar Association and the Collin County Bar Association.
Ms. Bowen received her law degree from Texas Wesleyan University School of Law (now known as Texas A&M University School of Law) in Fort Worth, Texas in 2007. Prior to attending law school, she graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelors of Applied Science in Drug and Alcohol Counseling from Washburn University of Topeka, Kansas, with an emphasis in victim/witness services. She also has an Associate’s Degree in Legal Assisting from Washburn University. Ms. Bowen has a fundamental belief that we should all “do good” which prompted her to join the national women’s fraternity Delta Gamma in college, an organization in which she remains active today.
